Fully agree here. So if Li is the fuel tank, I guess the question is not how many airline companies went broke, nor how many oil/Avgas companies did but rather how many steel companies making oil/avgas fuel tanks for airlines went broke (except somehow you’ve also got to squeeze in an “assuming they were giving away a 90% load of fuel indefinitely with each tank as an incentive to customers buying their fuel tank).
I think in terms of analogies it’s the “free fuel in the tank” which becomes the disruptor with Li and EV - that though comes at the household asset cost of the PV array/battery but those prices are falling faster than ..... at a frat party (maybe I should stop there and go with “Barg from his treehouse when the Rivian is delivered”.
