I've made all those mistakes you've listed several times over.
But over the last couple of months, if a stock is recommended, or someone thinks its going up ... i open another tab in my browser to check the information. This is how I find posters recommending stocks with NO volume or little trades. Then I avoid the stock and look elsewhere. At the end of the day, I can go through all my tabs to check how the stock went. I do the same for the stocks that have released an announcement for the day that I might be interested in.
My watchlists have also been revamped, and i have bundled stocks in the same sector into a watchlist.
I also have a watchlist for new IPOs, and one for stocks that I own that I'm trying to sell off.
I still have a lot of work to do in reorganising my watchlists as I have a limit of 30 on the trading platform.
Thanks for sharing your journey. It helps to know how others have modified their thinking and their trading plan.
