Australian shares logged their longest win streak in a month after soft US jobs data put interest rate cuts back on the agenda before year-end.

The ASX 200 climbed 51 points or 0.67% to a third straight gain. Today's close at 7682 was the index's strongest since April 24.

Utilities and property stocks offered the day's best gains after Friday's US employment miss drove bond yields lower.
