The DCF uses the 4.7/100,000 incidence rate in general population sourced from the 2019 Mollan paper, which I assume encompasses both genders within the rate itself. Then the DCF runs this through the entire population of each region (which is of course, both male and female) for the rate to calculate the number of total patients per year newly diagnosed.
