In commsec DT operates on Offset trading.
Say you have 500,000 shares and this morning you sold at 0.020, you now have $10,000.00. This afternoon you bought back at 0.016 same number of shares and that is worth $8000.00. If you don't do anything from now up to the day of settlement CBA will deposit $2000.00 in your account.
