I wrote to Mr Denison about a week ago and posed to him the following question:
Are any of OBJ's prospective/negotiated partnership agreements with the two unnamed FMCG companies contingent on the issuance of the dermaportation patents?
I received his reply last night: "Some of our discussions with various international partners do involve OBJ's patent technology portfolio amongst many other considerations but none of the current discussions or negotiations are specifically dependent on patent outcomes."
So, contrary to my earlier speculation and assumptions, it seems that less emphasis should be placed on the tracking of the company's patent applications in the various jurisdictions for the purposes of working out when a commercial deal will be finalised and announced. Reading between the lines of "amongst many other considerations", I think the message to me was "don't get so wound up with the patents". Maybe a deal will be announced sooner than we think?
