I heard the news today oh boy...

And it wasn't good. Popped into the studio to pay my last respects to Dutch Tilders who died last week.

For those of you who never heard the man in concert, well you missed a true spirit of the blues.

He came to us on a long travelled path but to us he was an Aussie. And a really, nice bloke.

I remember cranking up a Tilders album on the Tomago Road going into Nelson Bay, driving through its twists and turns and this feeling overcame me of peace and exhilaration all at the same time. One song Smoke That Cigarette, a classic from another band I can't think of now (can any listener fill in the blank here) had me singing along like a drunk school kid on a Gold Coast balcony.
