22jan06 PERTH underwater welding firm Neptune Marine Services has won its first overseas contract in the lucrative oil and gas industry.
Neptune says the fuel-line repair contract on the Cocos Islands was commissioned by a multinational oil, gas, energy and shipping company.
"This breakthrough into the oil and gas market is important because our technology specifically has significant potential for this sector and was targeted in our prospectus as a future cornerstone business," Neptune executive director Clive Langley said.
Work on the project will commence soon and last about a week.
