Transition away from fossil fuel is now part of the agreement of the COP28. This means roughly an 3 times increase of alternatives energy sources, like wind and sun, in which the EU seems to be leading. The focus is now on the execution of the plans. I think this is what AL meant, when she said she was not in the position to make announcements. In the near future the EU has to decide how to secure the sourcing of critical metals and create the supply chain. I expect statements regarding contracts etc. on short term.
