Just banter. For sure jm69. Here in Oz it fascinated me that during the GFC in 2008 I think, our government suspended short term selling. Yet during the Covid years our government did absolutely nothing. And as your figures put a real value to a 5pc short trade, day after day this was happening across the ASX. There was carnage here on the ASX. Go figure. Once I heavily (legitimately) traded a stock AQP that President Of Zimbabwe destroyed and the volume I had, not 5pc though, triggered a behave yourself warning from my broker. Yet shorters can have free range. I can't figure it out. Traders that have no interest in the company can do it on spot from a news report or just sentiment. Interested how they choose companies to do it to. I don't want to bang on about the China Taiwan dispute, rather my point before that I think we will be a target for the shorters for sure and the Taiwanese are expecting reunification real soon. Will Lynas suffer or benefit at this time from shorters. God knows. But they will be in full swing, won't they.
