you see shorter as something evil that must be controlled. In fact they just want to make money. They do have the opposite view of what will happen as you so they short. In fact they are a tremendous stabilizer to stocks. When stocks get over heated by emotion they tend to short putting a damper on the run up. shorting is dangerous and expensive so when prices fall they tend to cover. This is only way for them to make money. This stabilizes some of the big emotional swings stocks may go through. There is a reason that Evey exchange in US and most exchanges in world aloe shorting. You should read a little to see how shorts realy work. When AL sold her shares she put far more shares on market than sorters in fact Shorter's were buying to cover why she was selling.
There are a few areas than need adjustment like how many uncovered shorts some institutions can ell without reporting. Lets fix the problems in these places not stop the activity.
Shorter's are not causing Lynas to go down. It is the declining revenue since Q3 2022 that looks like it is going to cause new multiyear lows in both revenue and Profits. You should work harder at understanding what is happening to Revenue and profits and less worrying about boogie man.Lynas Cash reserves are declining as Well as their market shares. do you realy think they should put dividends ahead of growth. IS stocks pay some of the lowest Dividends in the world typical is less than 2 % of share price. Yet for over 100 years there stock goes up more than any other country. the reason ASX has much lower SP appreciations is they pay much higher dividends than most companies. If you believe in a company's management you want them to reinvest in the company not pay stock holders to be loyal.
