I too heard that comment. From your tone I think you had same feeling i did. The Chinese Real-estate market is collapsing. Population is declining and the ratio of retired to working class is skyrocketing because of policy 30 ~ 60 years ago. internal investment in Stock market is decreasing, But not as fast as external. This is driving stock market collapse. Exports are decreasing slowly but still going down. Any company that is relying on China returning to what they were before covid, will have a very long wait. This scares me because history says countries in this situation usually start wars to distract the population from how bad their governments managed things at home.
