For anyone following 'optimus' development, humanoid robots will soon be everywhere.. The rate of development at Tesla is very impressive, and I am personally convinced these will change the world (hopefully for the better, and not terminator scenario - but this should taken seriously, if I read between the lines this is the primary reason Elon is staying as CEO at Tesla..).

I was talking with my brother back in Sweden yesterday. He is demolishing and building a new holiday home, all by himself. How awesome would it not be to have two humanoid robots doing all the shovelling, lifting heavy stuff etc.. I just don't see how these will not be everywhere very soon, everyone will want one (price is, by Elon's estimates, be below that of new cars).

In regards to LYC and humanoid robotics, I'll recap from a post last year (62799777):

For those who don't know, Optimus is Tesla's humanoid robotic program. With Elon running Neuralink, SpaceX, and Tesla, Must is in a perfect environment to develop this. And I would certainly not bet against him. Why am I talking about this? It is expected each humanoid robot will have ~4kg of high performance NdFeB magnet material.. and estimate by SMM indicates that a total demand for NdFeB by 2025 for humanoid robots to be ~61,000 mt (or ~18,000 mt Nd/Pr).

And I quote 'With the rapid development of the robot industry, the rare earth permanent magnet industry is expected to usher in a new growth era comparable to that of new energy vehicles.'
