Just to clarify, Kal will produce carbonate, which will then feed LAMP. There is no processing limit imposed on carbonate feed, only on lanthanide concentrate (which we currently import).

At full NEXT rate, we will run into our set processing limit for lanthanide concentrate ~October this year. The only thing preventing this is if we still had some 'carry forward' allowance from previous years (but I doubt it would be any significant amounts). So, before we get close to this limit, we need to get Kal up and running, and produce enough carbonate for a shipment to LAMP to transition over to carbonate feed rather than lanthanide concentrate.

This will, I expect, to be a transition period with possible calibration of LAMP to fit the new feed. For this period it would be perhaps good to keep some inventory to cover (short-term) reduced production.

As you say, LYC has said Kal will start getting feed this Q. If all goes well, which I expect it will, the transition (at LAMP) will happen late CYQ3 or early CYQ4 and then we dont ever have to consider the processing limit again.. However, we shouldn't be complacent - at NEXT rate we practically have half of the 6m extension to play with..

(on a side note, there is something happening in the 'future SX area' of Kal, but we have yet to receive any details of this)
