You know CJ some of us are invested in LYC for the long term based on the fundamental premise that LYC is (and has been for some time) the only provider of quality REEs outside of China, and the Western world values that. This is why so much support was received from Japan in LYC's darkest days.
Myself, I have owned LYC share since 2005 and pre-consolidation bought and sold at various times such that in 2017 the shares I owned post consolidation were not only free carried but I had taken profits of almost another 100%.
Since then I have added a further 25% to my portfolio and LYC is now the 2nd largest investment in my superannuation fund. I do not care about the monthly gyrations in the SP - my only focus is on the long term future and under the leadership of AL that seems positive.
The total cost of my LYC investment (including recent top ups) is still well under the profits I have taken (ie less than zero) and I am very happy with that.
What I am not prepared to risk is trying to trade and time the market and be out of the shares when they take a jump up (as I believe is inevitable) - if that means I have to ride out pullbacks at times that is a risk I am prepared to take.
You seem to agree that LYC has a great future so why the constant criticism?
