would to some extent help inform new members from being unwittingly sucked in .. like most of us were for a period ( when new ) as we upheld the principles of unhindered free speech till, as in my case, the mind got so muddled (with good and bad info from same poster) and so much time wasted figuring out whats factual/useful and whats not .. the ignore button helped very much to lessen the clutter ..
