About 55 years ago when I was in high school My father made me take Germain. This was because with the engineering minds and high discipline they were dominating many fields. Including Cars electronics and heavy manufacturing.
About 25 years ago my employer brought in two days a week a teacher to teach Japanese to all his Sr staff. Because Japan was going to dominate, and we were doing lots of business with them.
Now it is China. Before anyone throws in the towel they should look at both countries GDP. Look at what they develop vs steal.
Many years ago AUS posted a link to articles by this professor. I scan them every week. Disagree and agree with many things he says but they are always thought provoking. I know many on this board just ignore what they disagree with, I do not. I read them more carefully to see if I should change.
