Sorry the rare earths are in the motors. Not the batteries. Do not feel bad many on this board think the same as you do. Look at a periodic table the rare earths are 57 -71 referred to as the lanthanide series. Li is 3 part of the Alkali metal series.
AL continues to mislead with every statement she makes. Look at this one

That many of the Key people are from Malayshia. A good move as far as I am concerned but not at all clear from her statement.
