I'm no fan of MP, and I understand they don't have the heavy RE needed for magnets. As I understand, historically, they have produced similar amounts of NdPr as Lynas though it's been processed in China. Their plan is to ultimately process it all in the US and make magnets in Texas I believe (with someone else's Dy n Tb). That's their stated goal and they're taking all the necessary steps in that direction. Magnets is where the big money is. If they pull that off, processing costs are taken care of. The question is: can they pull it off? It remains to be seen. I am team Lynas all the way, but I think it's too early to write MP off just yet.
