Tesla and Swedish unions conflict heats up - Gizchina.com https://www.gizchina.com/2023/11/25/tesla-and-swedish-unions-conflict-heats-up/
This is going to create a very difficult situation with regard to maintaining prices, if Swedish labor and Tesla dont resolve their differences.
I think this issue, now affecting Tesla's Berlin mega-factory poses the greatest danger to renewables industry. This will increase prices in a mainly stagnant sector of the business sector.
China wants dominance in the EV industry, both home and abroad. And by the way, they deserve the success. While Musk is building his $150k pick-up which has virtually no "pick-up" utility and is a mondern day Hummer of a wasteful beast, the Chinese are building local medium range school busses, which we in California are happily buying. BYD has just been certified to sell in Australia, which will hurt Tesla's shipments from their China factory.
The west is in real trouble with the renewables market, and China is playing the long game. I think LYC may easily see poor results for the next few quarters, unless Kalgoorie can make up sales and profit via PURE volume of scale, having both the LAMP and Kalgoorie working in tandum.
I got taken to pieces by LYC years back. I came back pre reverse because I believed in the story and the future. I am starting to look to the future with very blurry eyes. I think I will stay and evaluate my position in January. Its also good to remember that the USA is heading into an election year, and although I dont forsee a GOP win, those folks are perfectly willing to stick a knife in the heart of clean energy, given they are bought and paid for by big oil.
Time and money are running out for Ukraine. I cant believe the world does not see the danger in this. But, if this is the case, ALL NATO nations will be turning to building defensive capabilities if Ukraine suffers setbacks or worse. Straight out loses. The wont be tuppance for wind mills if things go bad for NATO.
Yes folks, its time to evaluate the future of this investment. I better see some green shoots in the next couple of months. Personally, my money has been laying dead with this dog sector for too long.
Im really sorry, but my subscription to Jane's suggests grey skies ahead. So for now, GOOD LUCK TO ALL.
