A reasonable summary of where we are at the Australian RE companies today. With national security concerns with Northern minerals, not Star, I wonder how much scrutiny VHM is under marketing direct to China. Free enterprise today may be a national security problem tomorrow. Whilst Malaysia wont export REs mined, Australia will. Whatever. Looks like too the government of the day elected to support Hastings , whose share price since have dropped significantly. I would have been keen to see the support going to infrastructure as AL lobbied for. I read an article that suggested the bigger RE companies received no subsidies, loans , support because the lobbyists in the industry did not want assistance going to miners, refiners already " printing money" . Which way is right or wrong I dont know. This article I found interesting and sorry if it has already been posted.
