Great! Some how, some way, SPL managed to get to full recruitment on several Phase 2 DEP trials. Would not seem so difficult with proven drugs with a new transport mechanism with demonstrated benefits. So now, let's make some money! Hit the accelerator. No more mission expansion! No additional applications, no more DEP drugs (for now at least), with limited resources. Phase 3 is the big pay day. Let's put a number on the score board. Get one DEP drug to the Phase 2 finish line as quickly as possible.
Which brings us to the question - does the SPL BoD have a strategy? Why do they dither, spreading their resources over so many options? Why do they spend their time and limited staff dabbling in the sales and marketing of Viraleze?
Or do they enjoy R&D so much that they don't want to let go? Is their goal academic tenure or a Nobel prize? Do they not understand their responsibility as a publicly listed company to generate profits?
Apparently, that "same old, same old" shareholder update has pushed my level of frustration with the SPL BoD to new highs...
