DEP-Gemcitabine

Below are Starpharma's announcements since last year (2021) about the pending progress of DEP-Gemcitabine into the clinic which IMO would have given some shareholders expectations that trial commencement was pretty much imminent.

Hopefully the DEP-Gemcitabine trial will finally commence before XMAS, but in the latest quarterly Starpharma hardly gave it a mention.

Please note that trial ‘commencement’ actually means starting patient screening and selection which generally take a month or two. So first dose, if it happens, will IMO be well into next year.

Key preclinical work progressing well to facilitate its entry into a phase 1/2 trial.

Jan 2022
Final preclinical work is being completed, including scale-up.

Apr 2022
Undergoing scale-up, clinical product manufacture and other trial preparations ahead of commencement.

Jun 2022
Completing final preclinical activities, including product manufacture.

Jul 2022
Manufacture of product is now complete. Preparations for trial commencement are well advanced.

Preparations for trial commencement are well advanced. CRO and site selection processes, regulatory and ethics preparations nearing completion.

Other internal preclinical DEP programs (including DEP gemcitabine) continue to progress.

IMO lots of things don’t happen fast in Starpharma world, but how about a full update for shareholders and estimate of when this trial will actually commence….
