If there is a safety issue (ie. they were refugees), they can be placed into a refugee camp and move to the back of the queue, and someone else can take their place and come to Australia.

There should be zero tolerance for serious crimes.

I would rather be tough on the perpetrator than risk the lives and well being of potential victims in Australia.

If others become aware of the consequences of such actions (serious criminal activity), it may deter their behavior and potentially save lives and the will being of many other people here in Australia.

It should be made clear as a condition of entry that certain behavior will not be tolerated.
