    Long term holders would be delighted with their dividend yield.

    Based on distributions FY2023, Had you been the owner of CSL shares going back to the following years, this is what your dividend yield would look like (approx).

    2009 - 11.5%
    2012 - 9.3%
    2014 - 5.5%
    2017 - 2.60%
    2023 (October 30) - 1.58%

    See the tale of the tape here? I very much doubt that longer term holders would be disappointed.

    But yeah, we could cherry pick whatever statistic we like. Heck, those that bought on October 30 are up by about 13%. Or, we could continue to focus on the near term and be "scared" that our divvies are Miniscule and meaningless. Todays spot dividend yield doesn't tell the true story about what an amazing investment CSL has been over time and may well continue to be so looking further out. To look at near term risk free rates is a long term mistake.
