The Genius,
You ask what 220mmbl OIP is worth to NSE?
I'll start the ball rolling and hopefully others will join in.
For a start, if it's successful, then work on 50/50 as Buru will eventually exercise their option for the extra 15%.
It all depends on what the market wants to believe is a fair NPV (current world oil price and panic or lack of it in the markets) plus how well New Standard and Buru sell the story.
Does 220mmbl OIP = 10%; 15%; 20% 25% or 30% recoverable (or any other figure that results from the successful testing of the well).
Infrastructure and the changing cost of freight will affect the sums.
The personalities of the people buying NSE and BRU will dictate the value just as the personalities of the people buying either:
WPL; STO; INP; EGO and WGP dictate their respective values.
I would not like to put a "Market Opinion" NPV per barrel as opposed to the $$$ value a feasibility study might apply when working out the viability of an oil field.
A bit vague, but heck it’s not easy until you have some data to work with.
PC43 would be someone with a better opinion on the matter.
