The research grant to the UWA was for four years. Since they would have to allocate staff and post grads to the project the total time taken might be 5 years or more. This is considerably past the intended year of commissioning for C6.

Except for time schedules, everything has gone well for CWE thus far. The more advanced the model the less they can afford to have anything go wrong. The C6 is supposed to be the commercial model so that they will not take risks at this stage.

Assuming the above research eventually produces a new method of anchoring (I suspect likely), it becomes a necessary and effective way of reducing the overall cost of each WEC unit.
