we've all heard of people being falsely accused and found guilty of offences they didn't commit - its a key reason we don't have the death penalty.

its a very complex issue tarvie..... even adherence to a religion (and even christians, jews or buddhists can be guilty of crimes) doesn't mean a breach of their citizenship pledge..... after all, as Shakespeare wrote, "use every man after his desserts and who shall scape whipping" (King Lear)
