Probably that's what most would miss is the noise, sound, rumble, screaming of the ICEs...but like the article says, there must be a noise or noises that can be generated in an electric context that sounds just as mean and cool...
apart from that I think ICEs are going the way of the Dodo
Volvo has already said it will stop producing ICEs in the next couple of years...others will follow

The Tesla trucks will be coming on line in the next couple of years and their specs are mind blowing...they will make the best ICE trucks with the heaviest commercial loads look like horse wagons both visually and from a performance perspective...huge step change

we would have gone from horse sheet in the streets, to dirty gasses and lots of noise, to zero poop and zero emissions...and perhaps a cool electric light sabre sound...
