    Abt 384 was not a drug designed to penetrate the blood brain barrier. However even 10mg of xanamem breaks the blood brain barrier in sufficient enough concentrations to inhibit 50% of 11bhsd in hippocampal region. Only 30% required for cognitive effects. So dont worry, the BoD know what they are doing.

    If it makes you feel better, trials that are designed to increase dosage are being run with part of the recent cash injection.
