EVs are already cheaper to produce that an IC vehicle
They already accelerate quicker, they do everything better except drive far enough between charges and are far too costly for the average person both in purchase and running costs
The only major expense is that useless battery that they are stuck with, which needs replacing far too often
The current "battery" which is not a battery storage but in fact a chemical generator and as such is limited by it's design and the laws of physics
As to fast charging do you know what happens to wind generators when the wind is too strong -- they blow up, so they have to be turned off in strong winds
The batteries used today are in fact generators and when you drive them too hard they also blow up
Laws of physics, you can't change the laws
Australia should at least get a bit into the industry, we have all the technical ability and Tesla made all it's permits free to any manufacturer so as to advance the development
