A share buy back is a sound finacial strategy where everyone wins.
The alternative is to invest the money in a risky purchase that may not increase shareholder value.
A share buy back would definitly increase shareholder value by limiting supply.
a buy back of $1 billion at $1.90 is 526,315,789 shares
There are 1,545,400,000 roughly outstanding and that would equate to roughly 34% of the stock
The Stock Price would sky rocket to 2.88(calculated) just on restricted supply. In addition there would be other effects arising from a strong upward surge in share price such as shorters bailing out and a change to an upwards momentum that could push the share price further towards $4.
Show me a mine purchase or dividend that could potential increase the stock price to $4 in a bear market?
