Synopses of the clinical tests done so far are on the website. No work has been done on whether the software can be tricked by someone not really in pain. If patients say they are in pain in order to be prescribed pain killers this could be an issue for all patients not just non-verbal ones. The App is designed for people who can't express themselves verbally, and it is not expected to solve general problems that arise when administering pain medication to the general population. The Abbey Pain Scale doesn't prevent faked pain either. This is a non-issue IMO.

There is a possibility of using the technology by general insurance companies, but no work is being done at the moment to see whether this is indeed possible, due to limited cash and personnel resources.
