Story in The Australian business section today can explain lithium downturn today. Morgan Stanley has called this the last year of lithium deficit due the massive lift in production from next year.
This has no impact on Co/Ni sulphates of which there is a limited supply in world and forcast to get worse.
I worked with a Chilean process eng who informed me 4 weeks ago that Chile has loosened the supply of lithium from their country in no longer calling it a stategic metal. Chile has the biggest reserves of lithium in the world.
