Absolutely, and agreed. that makes every sense if you have opened shorts from a top.
but longs won;t exit either for exactly the same reasons. selling drops the price on a lack of buying to confirm the trend.
we are trying to trade the counter trend in the mean time.
if I have open long positions, I won;t give them all up until it is confirmed. likewise with shorts on a downtrend.
