..as I had said, EV/lithium has entered the geopolitical arena.
..no more free trade there means growth would be impeded.

EV import tariffs on Chinese vehicles are coming to the USA
You do get the feeling the US battery supply isn’t ready for this.
Chinese companies have crashed the cost EVs through heavy investment in the entire supply chain from mine to gigafactory - subsidies? Sure. Scale? Definitely.
The US is not at this scale or cost level and not for some time.
Expect to see a tariffs tit for tat between US and China that will have ripples through every stage of the supply chain, all the way upstream to the mine.
It looks like this global EV revolution has just entered its political phase as the biggest trend to shape the industry going forward.
