The major problem with EVs is the all or nothing approach
The push will fail as it is just not feasible to achieve it
If they had concentrated on the mini market IE kids to school etc they may have been able to build the market until an alternate power source was available
As it is there will be basically a disaster as the ICs have been demonized and the manufacturers have been damaged, against the fact that the dream of an EV in every garage is impractical as the figures are so far off the mark as to be a joke to even consider
