Extraordinary number of shares being sold on the Cboe lately. I've often suspected that's where the machine trading and professional traders execute a lot of their trades. This has been a very common pattern when you follow the course of trades in EXR. It starts with very little interest from retail. To this point in time we've seen a scratch over 70,000 shares traded on the ASX - most likley retail. The total of shares sold is over 700,000 - about 640,000 have been dumped on the Cboe.
This has been a very common pattern over the last couple of weeks. Small movement on the ASX - then big move on Cboe which causes more movement on the ASX at the close. I have no idea what to read into that - just an observation. If I knew which brokers were trading on the Cboe I would have a much better idea.
