lordy - you seem to be on the right track with regard to the supply of gold being near enough to irrelevant to the POG

with regard to the storage of gold there is some question as to whether the amount of gold stored in the vaults of central banks and privately actually tallies - it may have been double accounted, triple accounted or more. and i'm more than aware that this may just be conspiracy theory

US senator Ron Paul has called for an independent audit of US gold reserves a number of times but he has either been straight out ignored or rebuffed. Sen Ron is running for the Republican nomination to then contest the US presidency. I don't give him a snowball's hope but if he happens to get over the line I think we'll get our answer - the guards at Fort Knox might be getting a little jittery
