You’re asking me to draw a trend line that is right and yet your second chart has been drawn in the middle of the peak (or in no man’s land). LOL.
Secondly, when you’re viewing a 10 year chart, best to use monthly candles as you get a more objective view.
For the sake of this exercise, I have attached a weekly and monthly long term chart (so you cannot question its accuracy) as the two you provided look wonky
A clear break above the long term trend line, move back below the trend and followed by a move back above the trend and now appears to be back-testing the trend line again.
