I disagree, look at the Ponzi scheme that is AMAZON. No profit needed, just build a gigantic revenue machine that produces nothing and which will crash when it eventually outgrows the environment - like the mice plagues that occasionally hit farmers.

You disagree based on your AMAZON example. I ask you then, how many Australian companies do you know fit this category? I stand by my remark, that in the long-run for the majority of companies in the real world, profits eventually justify the marketcap, not the revenue.
