Cash is fine but temporary. Why not provide water that can be used for irrigation?
The problem for farmers in Aus is, obviously, the intermittent rain. Inland Aus is often semi desert. So when will governments provide water. This has been talked about for 100 years. Dam big rivers in the east and divert water over the Great Dividing Range and flow it into existing rivers. Don't know about SA and WA but there is huge amounts of water in the north.
