Truth is that the Russian airforce controls the skies over Ukraine.
They don't. Ukraine's air defence is quite strong. Built up to combat cruise missiles. Russian aircraft launch their missile attacks beyond Ukraine borders. If Russia had the skies, Kyiv would be under constant attack and it is not.
We dont know exactly how Biden got to Kyiv or exactly when. Also, a direct attack on the POTUS would mean a direct attack on the US and NATO. That would not be wise.
His presence sends a very strong message to Moscow, Ukraine and its allies. Sure there's some risk but good on him for doing so.
