One of the other things a deal probably has been/is waiting for is the granting/registrations of ANP’s ATL1102 DMD patents. They were under examination both in last year’s (2022) as well as this year’s (2023) annual reports (especially important - the US patent registration).
It’s hard for both parties to sign a deal when they don’t know if ANP has 7.5 years of protection in the US (ODD alone) or up to 14 years (until 2039) if the patent in the US is granted.
Of course even if they are granted, doesn’t mean they’re not challengeable, but it does make the moat deeper and wider.
There was once a time when patent registration/approvals were announced straight away, but unfortunately this info has been held inside (allowing for possible leaks) in years of late.
