    LOL again if only I knew more when I started out, it's well know that we have sandy soils but the soil I have know as Spearwood Red is far better than the white sand in a lot other areas. I sort of assumed that nurseries/bunning sold plants that are suitable for Perth sandy soil, of course follow the planting instruction that can include adding compost ect in the whole.

    Quite sure all my fruit trees are grafted, except the KP Mango which grow true to type from seed. Oh I have a custard apple mum grew from seed

    Actually I think the Mandarin is doing quite well, it was struggling a few years back with yellow leaves but seems the sulfur and fertilizer has fixed that. Had leaf curl before flowing so sprayed with eco oil and looks fine

    I'm not a fan of some new varieties of Mandarin, IMO the imperial is by far the best

    BTW I have chooks that free range in the garden, often scratching around and siting under fruit tree I presume that is good

    @noddan, replaced the eggs the broody hen has been sitting on with some egg shell. Not sure if she is taking a break but looks like it did the trick or so I hope LOL
