I had a bee hive in the hollow of a big tree out back, had the tree cut down to just above the hive. Bees stayed but have since moved on, hoping for a new hive to be established.
I have in mind to plant some marigolds to attract bees and think the help keep pests away, my garlic got destroyed by aphids last year
