LOL such is the free draining ability of the soil here a bust water pipe was not noticed for a week
Where I am it use to be market gardens, unlike some some other areas around Perth that has useless white sand the soil here is what they call Spearwood Red. Basically a mix of sand and silty from the swamps that were in the area, but lacked the essential nutrients so the old farmers used heaps of NPK.
The clay is helping but need to add much more, bit easier now I am using raised garden beds.
Still have an issue with fruit trees in the ground and the PH is to high.
Gave up on Blue berries, tried using azalea mix in a big pot but bore water has calcium and hence high PH
