We get guessing around 15 frosts in the winter (we are at a decent elevation ) think the frosts are beneficial not for berry bud set in our case , but frosts tend to kill off thrips and any other build up of bugs , means we only need to do a light copper spray with a bit of dish washer liquid mixed in once every couple to three years .
