I am close to the coast, as I said mum never had an issue with fruit fly but she did have a rat problem until I gave her bait stations.

I have a small fig tree that self seeded, only kept it because my son likes figs. Last year gave him a few kg

Have not put any veg this year, giving the soil a rest and build up the organic matter. Cleaned out the chook house the other day and add the poo to the raised garden beds. Will make sure I get garlic and shallots in next year.

Also need to fix up the chook run, amazing how much damage they can do to a vegy patch in a short time, another reason I didn't plant vegies

Do the bait stations work well? I have small dogs and my wife isn't too keen on me putting baits out. I have the area fenced.

I have a rat or maybe more picking my strawberries.
