    They often use chook pellets to lure them into the shallows when using snares, I use chook pellets as a supplement feed for my marron, just a little once or twice a week

    Soap will also attract them because of the fat used to make soap

    Years ago we stayed at this farm that had a creek running through it, the farmer said there was no marron there. But we made up some traps using tin cans with holes in the bottom and soap for bait, we got some beauties.

    The Marron in my ponds are elusive, some times I only see a few small ones, other times I see heaps
